Form/Formlessness
Colour relationships are the subject of my painting practice. Beginning with the act of mixing colour on the palette I work intuitively to develop formal and perceptual relationships over a series of interlinked pieces. The intensity of the work comes from the instinctive placement of contrasting colours using abstracted and non-objective forms that create accidental and unexpected connections. The works are seen as an installation connected by theme and form and through the use of reflected colour on the walls behind the pieces.
