BA (Hons) Interior Design

In such a complex and revolving world, where the design is a driving principle that allows our population to emerge and develop , I like to stop time and admire the powerfulness of human capabilities and design innovations. Being an interior designer helps me to express my internal feelings and enables me to feel fulfilled in my profession by helping my clients celebrate lives and providing them with comfortable and stylish places . My greatest motivation is to support people in reflecting their hidden personalities and desires; allowing them to build emotional connections with spaces they experience.

I believe that small decisions can make huge differences, therefore I meticulously process all of my designs. I observe and analyse all of the existing opportunities of the space intensively and the host building’s cultural immersion. After careful acknowledgement of the brief I start brainstorming how my practice can improve and transform the space into an unforgettable and emotionally affecting place for experience. I let curiosity be my guide, as I collect and display objects within the space.

As a result I produce designs that accommodate contemporary standards with respect to the buildings heritage and regulations. I give careful consideration on how various people with different approaches could experience similar atmospheric settings to the interior space. I have designed my boutique hotel with appreciation to the original Mount Stuart House’s structure and historical background. Moreover, by introducing contemporary touches to the space and implementing functional furnishings, I aimed at accommodating different peoples’ needs and expectations.

Mewn byd mor gymhleth ac anwadal, byd lle mae’r dyluniad yn egwyddor gymhellol sy’n caniatáu i’n poblogaeth ddod i’r amlwg a datblygu, rwy’n hoffi stopio amser ac edmygu pŵer galluoedd dynol ac arloesedd o ran dylunio. Mae bod yn ddylunydd mewnol yn fy helpu i fynegi fy nheimladau mewnol ac yn fy ngalluogi i deimlo’n fodlon fy myd yn fy mhroffesiwn drwy helpu fy nghleientiaid i ddathlu bywydau a darparu lleoedd cyfforddus a chwaethus iddyn nhw. Fy nghymhelliant mwyaf yw cynorthwyo pobl i adlewyrchu eu personoliaethau a’u dymuniadau cudd; gan roi cyfle iddyn nhw feithrin cysylltiadau emosiynol â gofodau a brofir ganddynt.

Rwy’n credu y gall penderfyniadau bach wneud gwahaniaethau enfawr, felly rwy’n prosesu fy holl ddyluniadau’n ofalus iawn. Rwy’n dadansoddi ar yn arsylwi ar bob cyfle presennol a gynigir gan y gofod yn ddwys ac ymdrwythiad diwylliannol yr adeilad lletyol. Ar ôl cydnabod y brîff yn ofalus rwy’n dechrau taflu syniadau ynghylch sut y gall fy ymarfer wella a gweddnewid y gofod yn lle bythgofiadwy sy’n cael effaith emosiynol ar gyfer profiad. Rwy’n gadael i chwilfrydedd fy arwain, wrth i mi gasglu ac yn arddangos gwrthrychau yn y gofod.

O ganlyniad i hynny, rwy’n cynhyrchu dyluniadau sy’n bodloni safonau cyfoes mewn perthynas â rheoliadau a threftadaeth adeiladau. Rwy’n rhoi ystyriaeth ofalus i’r modd y gallai gwahanol bobl sydd â gwahanol agweddau brofi lleoliadau atmosfferig tebyg i’r gofod mewnol. Rwyf wedi dylunio fy ngwesty bwtîc gyda gwerthfawrogiad o strwythur a chefndir hanesyddol adeilad gwreiddiol Mount Stuart House. At hynny, drwy gyflwyno syniadau cyfoes i’r gofod a rhoi dodrefn swyddogaethol ynddo, fy nod oedd ystyried anghenion a disgwyliadau gwahanol bobl.

My interest in creating pleasant spaces goes back to my childhood and my family background. I am the daughter of an Iranian architect, who is full of taste and motivation to create and design better surroundings. I look at everything differently and try to set a new...

Unlike some, I cannot say that I always knew Interior Design was the route I was destined to go down. While I have always had a keen eye and a strong love for artistic design, for me, designing a space seemed like more of a hobby rather than a job that I could pursue...

I’m not one for grand philosophical ideas through design that will ultimately end up being someones living or work space. As a designer all I really aspire to do is create something that is of value to the person using that bit of design whether it’s a space or a...

What interior design means to me is creating a space that reaches its purpose’s full potential. Creating a successful interior design is to produce designs that are easily understood, have functionality and have recognisable aesthetics. When approaching an interior...

The intrigue within me in relation to creating inclusive dimensions derives from being well travelled and primarily being in close contact with disabled children. In 2015 I volunteered for an organisation called Allsorts in Stroud, aiming to provide fun activities for...

To me, design is about working with others to find solutions to their problems. It is only by getting onto someone else’s level and experiencing their journey and needs can one create an experience that doesn’t make assumptions. It is how we use design as a tool to...
