Non-linear narratives such as unreliable memories, leaky dreams and deja vu are a central reference within my practice. I address the structure of these forms of narrative using repetition, replication and iterations of time. My work is largely sculptural, using traditional methods such as bronze casting, as well as thinking of time, light and space as sculptural materials. I am interested in the inbetween spaces, and the expansive possibility that comes with something being unfixed. I explore this tension through shifting aspects of my work between context and container, fiction and reality, print and painting.

Mae naratifau afluniol megis atgofion annibynadwy, breuddwydion sy’n gollwng a déjà vu yn gyfeiriadau canolog o fewn fy ymarfer. Rwy’n ymdrin â strwythur y ffurfiau naratif yma drwy ddefnyddio ailadrodd, efelychu ac iteriadau amser. Cerfluniol yw fy ngwaith ar y cyfan, gan ddefnyddio dulliau traddodiadol megis castio efydd, yn ogystal â meddwl am amser, goleuni a gofod fel deunyddiau cerfluniol. Mae gennyf ddiddordeb yn y gofod rhwng pethau, a’r posibiliadau ehangol sy’n dod yn sgil rhywbeth ansefydlog. Rwy’n ystyried y tensiwn yma drwy symud agweddau ar fy ngwaith rhwng cyd-destun a chynhwysydd, ffuglen a’r gwirionedd, print a phaent.

I would describe my art as confessional; I take inspiration from my life events and feelings surrounding these experiences, I translate this through my work. I see my practice as a portal from my life in which I can lose myself and explore the deepest truths of my...

I have recently been exploring ideas related to the home and memory, and how they form identity. I am interested in how to defy the imperative to follow a linear structure in personal narrative and instead look for a more honest depiction of memory, which is itself...
