My practice stems from a natural inclination toward human psychology, with a specific interest in transitional objects. Equipped with a figurative, mixed-media background, I have refined my current focus to memories and environment. This recent body of work is based around the toy clown I was given as a child. Making use of his aesthetic pleasures objectifies my mental state. These paintings aim to reveal the depths of my character through strong symbolism and recurring themes. My practice is a continuous improvisational and impulsive process. The overall aim is to provide the viewer with an understanding of who I am.

Mae fy ymarferion wedi datblygu gyda tuedd naturiol i seicoleg dynol, mae yna ddiddordeb penodol mewn gwrthrychau trosiannol. Gyda chefndir ffigurol a chyfryngau cymysg, rwyf wedi mireinio fy ffocws presennol i mewn i’r amgylchedd a fy atgofion. Mae’r corff o waith yma yn seiliedig ar tegan clown gefais fel plentyn. Mae defnydd o’r pleserau esthetig yn rhoi effaith gwrthrycheddol ar fy cyflwr meddyliol. Mae’r paentiadau yn anelu i ddadansoddi dyfnder fy chymeriad trwy symboddoliaeth cryf a themau cylchol. Mae fy arfer yn broses byrfyfyr a phyrbwyll parhaus. Y nod cyffredinol yw darparu’r gwyliwr gyda dealltwriaeth o pwy ydwi i.

I have recently been exploring ideas related to the home and memory, and how they form identity. I am interested in how to defy the imperative to follow a linear structure in personal narrative and instead look for a more honest depiction of memory, which is itself...
