Clothes are an extension of self-identity. It is important to understand the relationship between women and the clothes that fill their wardrobes.

People present themselves through fashion, it is a way of communicating a story by means of the clothing that they wear.

Designing has been an intricate and personal journey; I design womenswear for real women. Women just like me, that look in the mirror and desire to feel beautiful in the clothes that they choose to wear. I am a designer of real women. Real women who want to feel happy, comfortable, and confident as they move through the daily grind of social media, life, and societies unrealistic beauty standards.

The Reverberation collection expresses one’s insecurities, by exploring confidence through pushing boundaries of the female form. Exaggerating body dysmorphia allows for a visual representation of what women deem to be ‘ugly’, by allowing these flaws to be highlighted throughout fashion we can start to consider them as normal.

Reverberation is defined as a repercussion; in this circumstance it comes in the form of self-love and acceptance growing in an individual. I created the collection to highlight a coherence between a woman and her clothes.

The collection focuses on embodying one’s confidence, thriving from insecurities in relation to what they choose to wear. For the day’s women feel empowered and confident to the days that she wants to stay wrapped in a duvet.

Mae dillad yn estyniad o hunan-hunaniaeth. Mae’n bwysig deall y berthynas rhwng menywod a’r dillad sy’n llenwi eu cypyrddau dillad.

Mae pobl yn cyflwyno eu hunain drwy ffasiwn, mae’n ffordd o gyfleu stori drwy gyfrwng y dillad y maent yn eu gwisgo.

Mae dylunio wedi bod yn daith gymhleth a phersonol; rwy’n dylunio dillad ar gyfer menywod go iawn. Menywod yn union fel fi, sy’n edrych yn y drych ac yn dyheu am deimlo’n hardd yn y dillad y maent yn dewis eu gwisgo. Rwy’n ddylunydd menywod go iawn. Menywod go iawn sydd eisiau teimlo’n hapus, yn gyfforddus ac yn hyderus wrth iddynt symud drwy ddiflastod dyddiol safonau harddwch afrealistig y cyfryngau cymdeithasol, bywyd a chymdeithas.

Mae’r casgliad ‘Reverberation’ yn mynegi ansicrwydd, drwy archwilio hyder drwy wthio ffiniau’r ffurf fenywaidd. Drwy orliwio dysmorffia’r corff, mae’n caniatáu cynrychiolaeth weledol o’r hyn y mae menywod yn ei ystyried yn ‘hyll’, drwy ganiatáu i’r diffygion hyn gael eu hamlygu drwy gydol y modd y gallwn ddechrau eu hystyried fel normal.

Diffinnir ‘Reverberation’ fel sgil-effeithiau; yn yr amgylchiad hwn daw ar ffurf hunan-gariad a derbyniad yn tyfu mewn unigolyn. Creais y casgliad i dynnu sylw at gydlyniad rhwng menyw a’i dillad.

Mae’r casgliad yn canolbwyntio ar ymgorffori hyder rhywun, gan ffynnu o ansicrwydd mewn perthynas â’r hyn y maent yn dewis ei wisgo. Ar gyfer y dyddiau mae menywod yn teimlo eu bod wedi’u grymuso ac yn hyderus i’r dyddiau y maent am aros wedi’u lapio mewn carthen blu.
