BA (Hons) Interior Design

I have begun to appreciate that any interior space has the power to influence an individual, specifically affecting their behaviour, mood and productivity. However, in this crisis of climate change, I strongly urge that all building interiors incorporate sustainable practice into their designs. Necessarily, modern designers must aim towards replacing key components of their spaces with sustainable alternatives, whilst maintaining a positive influence on the individual. The field of Bioluminescent technology shows promising research and could replace artificial lighting in the near future.

Personally, the concept stage of a project is the most important, as I am able to compile and filter all my ideas to move forward with the best possible design. I often express my concepts through multiple mediums, including sketching and model making to visual my ideas better. By utilizing my skill sets in various computer software, I can convert my drawings into high-resolution life-like images. A key factor of my designs includes the integration of sustainable practice while also considering the influence on an individual within the space, which requires extensive research to execute.

As my previous projects have all resulted in virtue, I strongly feel that I would be a valued asset to any team. I possess the creativity to generate multiple ideas and the perseverance to tackle challenging design briefs. My several experiences of working within a team have led to my confidence to both lead and follow, whilst continuously completing my tasks to the highest standards.

Rydw i wedi dechrau gwerthfawrogi bod gan unrhyw ofod mewnol y pŵer i ddylanwadu ar unigolyn, gan effeithio’n benodol ar ei ymddygiad, ei hwyliau a’i gynhyrchiant. Fodd bynnag, yn yr argyfwng newid hinsawdd hwn, rwy’n credu’n gryf y dylai pob adeilad gynnwys ymarfer cynaliadwy yn eu dyluniadau. O reidrwydd, mae’n rhaid i ddylunwyr modern geisio disodli elfennau allweddol o’u gofodau gyda dewisiadau cynaliadwy, gan gadw dylanwad cadarnhaol ar yr unigolyn yr un pryd. Mae maes technoleg Bioymoleuol yn dangos ymchwil addawol a allai gymryd lle golau artiffisial yn y dyfodol agos.

Yn bersonol, cam cysyniad prosiect yw’r cam pwysicaf, gan fy mod yn gallu llunio a hidlo fy holl syniadau i symud ymlaen gyda’r dyluniad gorau posib. Rwy’n mynegi fy nghysyniadau drwy amrywiol gyfryngau yn aml, gan gynnwys braslunio a gwneud modelau i ddelweddu fy syniadau’n well. Drwy ddefnyddio fy setiau sgiliau mewn gwahanol fathau o feddalwedd cyfrifiadurol, gallaf drosi fy lluniau’n ddelweddau cydraniad uchel tebyg i fywyd go iawn. Mae ffactor allweddol yn fy nyluniadau’n cynnwys integreiddio ymarfer cynaliadwy ond gan ystyried y dylanwad ar unigolyn yn y gofod hefyd, sy’n gofyn am ymchwil helaeth i’w gyflawni.

Gan fod rhinwedd wedi deillio o’m prosiectau blaenorol i gyd, rwy’n credu’n gryf y byddwn yn gaffaeliad gwerthfawr i unrhyw dîm. Rwy’n meddu ar y creadigrwydd i gynhyrchu syniadau lluosog a’r dyfalbarhad i fynd i’r afael â briffiau dylunio llawn her. Mae fy mhrofiadau amrywiol o weithio mewn tîm wedi datblygu fy hyder i arwain a dilyn, tra’n cwblhau fy nhasgau i’r safonau uchaf yn barhaus.

My interest in creating pleasant spaces goes back to my childhood and my family background. I am the daughter of an Iranian architect, who is full of taste and motivation to create and design better surroundings. I look at everything differently and try to set a new...

Unlike some, I cannot say that I always knew Interior Design was the route I was destined to go down. While I have always had a keen eye and a strong love for artistic design, for me, designing a space seemed like more of a hobby rather than a job that I could pursue...

I’m not one for grand philosophical ideas through design that will ultimately end up being someones living or work space. As a designer all I really aspire to do is create something that is of value to the person using that bit of design whether it’s a space or a...

What interior design means to me is creating a space that reaches its purpose’s full potential. Creating a successful interior design is to produce designs that are easily understood, have functionality and have recognisable aesthetics. When approaching an interior...

The intrigue within me in relation to creating inclusive dimensions derives from being well travelled and primarily being in close contact with disabled children. In 2015 I volunteered for an organisation called Allsorts in Stroud, aiming to provide fun activities for...

To me, design is about working with others to find solutions to their problems. It is only by getting onto someone else’s level and experiencing their journey and needs can one create an experience that doesn’t make assumptions. It is how we use design as a tool to...
