My current practice is a personal visual narrative, compiled of photographs, paintings and site-specific installation work. Communicating the ephemeral themes of time and growth through the use of organic materials and unrefined wood to emphasise abstracted forms of nature. This layering and recycling of old works and media is something that I find very interesting.

Living in the dramatic backdrop of the Brecon Beacons and the rich heritage of Blaenavon, landscapes and the natural world have always been a constant influence and obsession for me. That is why so many of my pieces are a expressionistic and intuitive response to the expanse of nature. Symbolic of both the external scenes and my connection with them.

Naratif gweledol personol yw fy ymarfer cyfredol, wedi’i lunio o ffotograffau, paentiadau a gosodwaith safle-benodol, gan gyfathrebu themâu byrhoedlog amser a thwf drwy ddefnyddio deunyddiau organig a phren heb ei drin i bwysleisio ffurfiau natur wedi’u gosod ar wahân. Mae’r haenu ac ailgylchu hyn o hen weithiau a chyfryngau yn rhywbeth sydd o ddiddordeb mawr i mi.

minnau’n byw ymysg treftadaeth gyfoethog Blaenafon, gyda golygfeydd dramatig Bannau Brycheiniog yn y cefndir, a threftadaeth gyfoethog Blaenafon, mae tirweddau a’r byd naturiol wedi bod yn ddylanwad ac yn obsesiwn cyson i mi erioed. Dyna pam mae cymaint o fy narnau yn ymateb mynegiadol a greddfol i fawredd natur, yn symbolaidd o’r golygfeydd allanol a’m cysylltiad i â nhw.
