Most people would likely assume colour perception is something humans consistently share; we can all look at the sky and call it blue. Conditions like colour blindness show us that disruptions to physical sensory mechanisms can lead to altered perceptions of the world. Less obvious, and perhaps more widespread, are the alterations made by things like our environment and our language. This project explores what it means to see colour and exposes it as something closer to a human construction rather than a homogenous shared reality.

Mae cyflyrau fel dallineb lliw yn dangos i ni y gall tarfu ar ddulliau synhwyraidd ffisegol arwain at newid ein canfyddiad o’r byd. Mae newidiadau a wneir gan bethau fel ein hamgylchedd a’n hiaith yn llai amlwg, ac efallai yn fwy cyffredin. Mae’r prosiect hwn yn archwilio’r hyn mae’n ei olygu i weld lliw ac yn dangos ei fod yn rhywbeth sy’n agosach at ddehongliad dynol yn hytrach na realiti a rennir yn homogenaidd.
