Public Resource Centre, South Wales

This is a design project for a new public library/resource centre in Newport, South Wales. The building responds to the industrial history of the site through its use of weathering steel rainscreen cladding and is influenced in shape by the ripple marks left in the bed of the river Usk, which flows along the sites eastern boundary.
