My work explores the energy and vibrancy I see in the world that surrounds me. The work is a mirror of the qualities I see. Using extruders, slips and glazes I create pieces that contain the potential for change. The hand building process allows me to create forms that can be twisted and morphed and easily grow. The forms are decorated with textured with bright slips that make the pieces crack and ooze, I want to insight curiosity and intrigue, for the viewer to be drawn in and create their own compositions, to encourage a viewer to become creatively involved.
Mae fy ngwaith yn archwilio’r egni a bywiogrwydd rwy’n eu gweld yn y byd o’m hamgylch. Mae’r gwaith yn ddrych i’r rhinweddau a welaf. Gan ddefnyddio allwthwyr, slipiau a llathrau rwy’n creu darnau sy’n cynnwys y potensial am newid. Mae’r broses adeiladu â llaw yn gadael i mi greu ffurfiau sy’n gallu cael eu troelli a’u gweddnewid a thyfu’n hawdd. Mae’r ffurfiau’n cael eu haddurno a’u gweadu gyda slipiau llachar sy’n gwneud i’r darnau gracio a diferu, rwy am fwrw golwg ar chwilfrydedd a dirgelwch, i’r gwylwyr gael eu denu i mewn a chreu eu cyfansoddiadau eu hun, i annog gwylwyr i gymryd mwy o ran greadigol.
