Newport Public Library
With reference to minimalist architecture, the proposed concept for a new public library located in Newport adjacent to the River Usk, has been designed with elements that strive to convey the message of simplicity.
The basic geometric forms, elements without decoration, simple materials and the repetitions of structures represent a sense of order and essential quality. This allows for an adjustable interior to maintain comfortability for community members. The movement of natural lighting within the library reveals simple and clean spaces.
