Hannah Lewis

BA (Hons) Artist Designer Maker

Spin

Hannah is a contemporary artist whose work focuses on textiles and in particular, thread. She has an interest in traditional techniques such as weaving, stitching and knitting which she applies with unusual materials to create pieces of art. Her current work focuses on how thread can be used to create optical illusions. By combining thread with laser cut wood she has made interactive sculptures which when spun, create a hypnotic experience for the viewer.
