Hannah Thompson

BA (Hons) Artist Designer Maker

Intersecting the Everyday

Hannah Thompson has used an appreciation of form and material to develop a range of objects which endeavour to differ from everyday tableware.

Her use of intersecting line and materials create a collection in which all the objects originate from one form; bringing a diverse touch to our dining experiences as well as encouraging an appreciation of simple objects.

Beginning life as abstract line drawings, the objects develop with a focus on the beauty of form and function later follows. This approach means most of the pieces are not labelled with a function, allowing creativity loose into the hands of the user.
