Photography is a way of documenting the visual world. In order to progress, the photographer must step back and look in directions they would not usually. My photographic practice interrogates my surrounding environment in an attempt to see the best in everything. I use photography to highlight small details from the structures that surround me and to translate them into something worth noticing. This is done best using analogue photography, as I have found that it allows me to actually engage with the space and subjects within the frame of the camera. My work is a philosophy of reclaiming awareness in a world busy with distractions.

Mae ffotograffiaeth yn ffordd o gofnodi’r byd gweledol. Er mwyn symud ymlaen, mae’n rhaid i’r ffotograffydd gamu’n ôl ac edrych i gyfeiriadau gwahanol arfer. Mae fy ymarfer ffotograffig yn archwilio’r amgylchedd o’m cwmpas yn y gobaith o weld y gorau ym mhopeth. Dwi’n defnyddio ffotograffiaeth i dynnu sylw at fanylion bach o’r strwythurau sy’n fy amgylchynu i ac yn eu trosi’n rhywbeth sy’n werth sylwi arno. Mae hyn yn cael ei wneud orau gan ddefnyddio ffotograffiaeth analog, gan fy mod wedi gweld ei fod yn caniatáu i mi ymgysylltu â’r gofod a’r pynciau o fewn ffrâm y camera. Mae fy ngwaith yn athroniaeth o adfer ymwybyddiaeth mewn byd sy’n brysur gyda phethau sy’n denu sylw.
