Hello everyone, my name is Karolina and I am happy to be able to present my final year’s work to you despite the challenges we have all faced throughout the last year. I perceive myself as a highly creative and imaginative individual who enjoys challenges and being in new situations. This has been tested with a satisfactory outcome through the challenges faced during a pandemic.
I would like to thank Cardiff Metropolitan University for giving me a chance to pursue my passion for design after working in the dental health sector for several years. Always wanted to make a positive impact on people’s lives which started by working with their oral health, and has now moved to the creation of products and designs that will help improve their everyday life experience.
Over the years I have developed cognitive interest for minimalism and CMF design which have been introduced into my work and which I would like to see developing further in my professional career.
Helo bawb, f’enw i yw Karolina ac rwyf wrth fy modd i gyflwyno gwaith fy mlwyddyn olaf i chi er gwaethaf yr heriau rydyn ni i gyd wedi’u hwynebu yn ystod y flwyddyn ddiwethaf. Rwy’n ystyried fy hun yn unigolyn hynod o greadigol a dychmygus sy’n mwynhau heriau a bod mewn sefyllfaoedd newydd. Rhoddwyd prawf ar hyn gyda chanlyniad boddhaol drwy’r heriau a gafodd eu hwynebu yn ystod pandemig.
Hoffwn i ddiolch i Brifysgol Metropolitan Caerdydd am roi cyfle i mi ddilyn f’angerdd am ddylunio ar ôl gweithio yn y sector iechyd deintyddol am nifer o flynyddoedd. Roeddwn bob amser yn dymuno cael effaith gadarnhaol ar fywydau pobl a ddechreuodd drwy weithio gyda’u hiechyd geneuol, ac erbyn hyn wedi symud ymlaen i greu cynhyrchion a dyluniadau a fydd yn helpu i wella eu profiad o fywyd bob dydd.
Dros y blynyddoedd rwyf wedi datblygu diddordeb gwybyddol dros finimaliaeth a dylunio CMF (lliw, deunyddiau a gorffeniad) sydd wedi’u cyflwyno i’m gwaith i ac yr hoffwn weld eu datblygu ymhellach yn fy ngyrfa broffesiynol.

Aura
This project gave me an opportunity to address a gap in the market by using age-friendly sustainable design and the latest light technology to improve peoples physical and mental well-being inside home spaces as well as increasing the feeling of social exclusion.
Identity
Designed a set of business cards to form my personal identity and to reflect on my approach and focuses of Design – Simplicity, Beautiful aesthetic, and Effectiveness.
