Pen Y Fan Visitor Centre

The National Trust requires a visitor centre combined with an educational hostel with the facilities to accommodate up to 60 people located in the Brecon Beacons at the Pont ar Daf site. The client also wants a building that takes full advantage of the beautiful scenery that surrounds the local area. The exterior of my project has aimed to look as natural and as fitting as possible in regards to the shape with many curved walls to portray the shape of the surrounding mountains. The interior of the building is designed to create a welcoming environment to all. A canvas painting is on show in the main visitor centre which intended to give visitors a sense of the outdoors.
