BA (Hons) Fine Art

Theodora Krina

My art is a way of coping with life, a way to understand my emotions, a way to be angry without expressing it on others.

My artistic practise is based on my life. A series of books that are something more than diaries and something less than sketchbooks. My books are filled with drawings, paintings and writtings like poetry and random thoughts. I use both artworks and writings because I find that drawings and poetry are not enough to express my feelings on their own. They need to be combined. I choose not to explain my art because I believe it can not be explained and I can not fully comprehend it myself.

Mae fy nghelf yn ffordd o ymdopi â bywyd, yn ffordd o ddeall fy emosiynau, yn ffordd o fod yn ddig heb ei gyfleu i eraill.

Mae fy ngwaith artistig yn seiliedig ar fy mywyd. Mae cyfres o lyfrau yn rhywbeth mwy na dyddiaduron ac yn llai na llyfr braslunio. Mae fy llyfrau yn llawn darluniau, paentiadau ac ysgrifau fel barddoniaeth a meddyliau ar hap. Rwy’n defnyddio gwaith celf ac ysgrifau am fy mod yn gweld nad yw darluniau a barddoniaeth eu hunain yn ddigon i fynegi fy nheimladau. Mae angen iddynt gael eu cyfuno. Rwy’n dewis peidio ag egluro fy nghelf am fy mod yn credu na ellir ei hegluro ac na allaf ei deall yn llwyr fy hun.
