The design collection ‘Tropical Moods’ celebrates the beauty of the rainforest. Inspiration has been gathered from the textural marks on unique plants such as bamboo and palm leaves, as well as creatures including frogs, parrots and fish. Softly blended hues such as subtle grey and baby pink enable the designs to give a bathroom a calm and relaxing mood.

Techniques used to develop the design collection includes a combination of hand drawn elements, such as linear fine liner drawings, watercolour and silk painting, as well as mark making experimentation using bleach and ink. These outcomes have been digitally manipulated in Photoshop to create a variety of repeat patterns suitable for bathroom textile accessories such as towels, bath mats, wash bags or ceramics. Additionally, small foil details have been hand printed through a screen on top of a few designs within the collection, to add subtle shine, that still remains very sophisticated.

Mae’r casgliad ‘Tropical Moods/Naws y Trofannau’ yn dathlu harddwch y coedwigoedd glaw. Daw’r ysbrydoliaeth o farciau gweadeddol ar blanhigion unigryw megis bambŵ a dail y balmwydden yn ogystal â chreaduriaid fel brogaod, parotiaid a physgod. Mae arlliwiau wedi’u blendio’n feddal megis llwyd cynnil a phinc babi yn galluogi’r dyluniadau i wneud yr ystafell ymolchi naws ymlaciol a thawel.

Ymhlith y technegau a ddefnyddir i ddatblygu’r casgliad dylunio mae cyfuniad o elfennau da ddarluniwyd â llaw megis lluniau leiniwr mân llinellol, dyfrlliw a phaentio ar sidan yn ogystal ag arbrofi gyda gwneud marciau gan ddefnyddio cannydd ac inc. Cafodd y canlyniadau hyn eu trin yn ddigidol drwy Photoshop i greu amrywiaeth o batrymau ail-adroddus ar gyfer cyfwisgoedd yr ystafell ymolchi megis tywelion, matiau bath, bagiau ymolchi neu serameg. Hefyd, printiwyd manylion bach ffoil â llaw drwy sgrîn ar ben rhai dyluniadau o fewn y casgliad, i ychwanegu at y sglein cynnil sy’n dal yn soffistigedig.
