My work is predominantly inspired by the natural world, particularly animals. This has led to me creating work around the topic of animal rights. My fascination with how we interact with nature sparked a passion to want to create a kinder and more considerate world not only for ourselves but other species too.

This project focuses on our relationship with livestock, animals that are a staple in western diets. While the effects of the meat and dairy industries can be a dark topic to discuss I have tried to use humour to make it more approachable. The aim is to present the idea of eating animals as a weird thing to do while never actually attacking people for doing so.

I hope that my work highlights the absurdity that is our relationship with animals we deem edible, while encouraging people to reconsider their views on animal agriculture.

Mae fy ngwaith yn cael ei ysbrydoli gan fyd natur yn bennaf, yn enwedig anifeiliaid. Mae hyn wedi fy arwain i greu gwaith am hawliau anifeiliaid. Ysgogodd fy niddordeb yn y ffordd rydym yn rhyngweithio â byd natur awydd ynof i geisio creu byd mwy caredig ac ystyriol i’n hunain ac i rywogaethau eraill.

Mae’r prosiect hwn yn canolbwyntio ar ein perthynas â da byw, anifeiliaid sy’n brif gynnyrch mewn dietau gorllewinol. Er bod effeithiau’r diwydiannau cig a llaeth yn gallu bod yn bwnc tywyll i’w drafod, rydw i wedi ceisio defnyddio hiwmor i’w wneud yn fwy hygyrch. Y nod yw cyflwyno’r syniad o fwyta anifeiliaid fel rhywbeth rhyfedd i’w wneud ond peidio ag ymosod ar bobl am wneud hynny.

Gobeithio bod fy ngwaith yn dangos hurtrwydd ein perthynas ag anifeiliaid yr ystyriwn sy’n iawn i’w bwyta, gan annog pobl i ailystyried eu barn ar amaethyddiaeth anifeiliaid hefyd.
