BSc (Hons) Product Design

As design and tastes rapidly develop as technology improves, I believe one thing should be valued above all; playfulness in creativity. As a product designer I firmly believe that mental and physical health is the key to maintaining a fulfilling life, and I strive to keep them both positively stimulated with my projects in a fun but practical way.

I also believe in sustainability. I try keep my impact on the environment to a minimum via in-depth research on materials and development. I believe we as an industry rely too much on plastics, despite the countless alternatives on the market.

I’m self-motivated and passionate about what I do. I love to take on new projects and explore new disciplines to achieve a unique perspective. I’ve worked with animators, graphic designers, illustrators and more throughout my projects that have given me skills that will truly benefit me in a professional setting. I’m adept at adapting to new environments, and my determination to rise up to a challenge is unwavering.

Wrth i ddylunio a chwaeth ddatblygu’n gyflym wrth i dechnoleg wella, credaf y dylid gwerthfawrogi un peth yn anad dim; chwareusrwydd mewn creadigrwydd. Fel dylunydd cynnyrch credaf yn gryf mai iechyd meddwl a chorfforol yw’r allwedd i gynnal bywyd boddhaus, ac rwy’n ymdrechu i sicrhau bod y ddau ohonyn nhw’n cael eu hysgogi’n bositif gyda’m prosiectau mewn ffordd hwyliog ond ymarferol.

Rwyf hefyd yn credu mewn cynaliadwyedd. Rwy’n ceisio cadw fy effaith ar yr amgylchedd mor isel â phosib trwy ymchwil fanwl ar ddeunyddiau a datblygiad. Rwy’n credu ein bod ni fel diwydiant yn dibynnu gormod ar blastigau, er gwaethaf y dewisiadau amgen dirifedi ar y farchnad.

Rwy’n hunan-ysgogol ac yn angerddol am yr hyn rwy’n ei wneud. Rwyf wrth fy modd yn ymgymryd â phrosiectau newydd ac archwilio disgyblaethau newydd i gael persbectif unigryw. Rwyf wedi gweithio gydag animeiddwyr, dylunwyr graffig, darlunwyr a mwy trwy gydol fy mhrosiectau sydd wedi rhoi sgiliau imi a fydd o fudd gwirioneddol imi mewn lleoliad proffesiynol. Rwy’n fedrus wrth addasu i amgylcheddau newydd, ac mae fy mhenderfyniad i ymateb i her yn ddiwyro.

This project entailed creating a product that would reduce the amount of particulates entering the lungs in high pollution areas, i.e wildfires, etc. The product uses a silicone insert to reduce claustrophobia caused by generic masks.

This product is a self help based application to guide sufferers of Generalised Anxiety Disorder. The product guides the user through potential ways to relieve symptoms, and suggests external services that could be of use.

A sustainable den-inspired product that encourages children to build and construct their own play areas in a way that is easy to clean, store, and reuse.

This image shows a brief glimpse into the design process for each individual piece of the corkgloo. A variety of pieces are offered, such as a window piece and a whiteboard panel.
