My belief in design is that all products have similar functions to other competing products, the way we can differentiate between products is how we perceive the products visually and how users interact with products. The visually conception of products, I believe is the most important part of the design process, as well as the user experience of the product.
My dissertation topic was based on how users interact with products and what factors create a positive user experience and through my design work I try to apply that concept to each of my projects, a positive user experience is something that all designers should work towards achieving. Once a product has achieved a positive user experience, it has succeeded at being a good product.
My time at Cardiff School of Art and Design has overall been positive, the lecturers are always on call for one to one tutorial and always offer there help and guidance within the course and outside. The course allowed me to vastly improve my design skills whether that be digital or on paper and develop many new skills on each stage of the design process. The course has allowed me to learn new design skills and improve on the skills I already had prior to the course. My time on this course has opened my eyes to what I want to do once I finish the course and where I want to take my work in the future.

Roedd fy nghwestiwn traethawd hir yn seiliedig ar sut mae defnyddwyr yn rhyngweithio â chynhyrchion a pha ffactorau sy’n creu profiad cadarnhaol i’r defnyddiwr, a thrwy fy ngwaith dylunio rwy’n ceisio cymhwyso’r cysyniad hwnnw i bob un o’m prosiectau – mae profiad cadarnhaol i ddefnyddwyr yn rhywbeth y dylai pob dylunydd weithio tuag at ei gyflawni. Unwaith y bydd cynnyrch wedi sicrhau profiad cadarnhaol gan ddefnyddwyr, mae wedi llwyddo i fod yn gynnyrch da.
Mae fy amser yn Ysgol Celf a Dylunio Caerdydd wedi bod yn gadarnhaol ar y cyfan, mae’r darlithwyr ar gael bob amser ar gyfer tiwtorial un i un ac maent yn cynnig eu cymorth a’u harweiniad o fewn y cwrs a’r tu allan iddo bob amser. Rhoddodd y cwrs gyfle i mi wella fy sgiliau dylunio’n sylweddol, boed hynny’n ddigidol neu ar bapur, a datblygu llawer o sgiliau newydd ym mhob cam o’r broses ddylunio. Mae’r cwrs wedi rho’r cyfle i mi ddysgu sgiliau dylunio newydd a gwella ar y sgiliau oedd gen i eisoes cyn y cwrs. Mae fy amser ar y cwrs wedi agor fy llygaid i’r hyn rwyf am ei wneud unwaith y byddaf yn gorffen y cwrs a lle rydw i am fynd gyda’m gwaith yn y dyfodol.
A product that helps to guide the user’s foot into the correct position on the pedal(s) and ensures it does not slip off as they apply force. It means that they do not have to buy expensive, specialist equipment and can therefore enjoy cycling with their friends and family in safety and convenience.
Cynnyrch sy’n helpu i gyfeirio troed y defnyddiwr i’r man cywir ar y pedal(au) ac sy’n sicrhau nad yw’n llithro i ffwrdd wrth iddo bwyso arno. Mae’n golygu nad oes rhaid iddo brynu offer arbenigol, drud, ac y gall felly fwynhau beicio gyda’i ffrindiau a theulu yn ddiogel a chyfleus.

With the current pandemic, products like phone sanitizers are going to be essential to staying hygienic and ensuring nothing there
nothing like this happens again.Where as phones are considered to be essential and are many products already on the market that only clean phones, there are bigger and more essential products such as laptops etc. that used as much as phones and also require
sanitization to keep the users clean. There’s a need for a design that can keep all products sanitized in quick time rates so the user isn’t waiting for their products.
