I believe that product design is driven by the users. It is my driving passion to design products that users can interact with easily and by doing this improving their lives for the better. It is a priority that the products being designed have a purpose and use in the users life, as these designs will impact them the most. As well as pushing the importance of design affordances I also believe in the importance of sustainability and being the most sustainable you can possibly be.
With an eye for detail and purpose to my design approach, these skills help me in the design development and user testing stages to pin point why and where these problems lie. Some of these problems may not be obvious to start with, but using my confident communication skills within user testing I seek to discover these answers. Sustainability is a high priority and to account for this after life design should be accounted for in every product to ensure its materials entry into the circular economy.
These skills will be very transferable to any team I am placed in or any individual work I am set. My communication skills allow me to transfer my ideas across to team members or clients efficiently as well as help me lead groups or be a vital part of one. My drive for answers is a significant part of my design approach and pushes me to leave no rock unturned. I have the capability to produce the best designs possible and these will be innovative and feasible designs.

Using a sound exciter allows the speaker to completely fill a room with sound eliminating the directional problem the traditional cone speaker have.

As shown in the exploded view of the sound exciter speaker the components are very small and take up very little room. This allowed the design to be as thin as a wall mounted picture frame. The critical part of the design was controlling what the vibrations from the sound exciter effected. This was controlled by using technology from vinyl players where they use rubber spacers to absorb the unwanted vibrations.

The modular design initiates collaboration before it is intended by making the users work as a team to construct the area in which they are going to work in. Doing this increases the creativity of the users as they have to design the layout they require using modular parts.
