My illustration practise is all about colour spectrums, visual storytelling and pattern design. I am an illustrator determined to use my creative and imaginative skills to raise awareness, encourage understanding and get people to start talking about issues that surround disability and equality. The central theme of my featured project and Illustration practise in general is about promoting diversity through visual mediums, traditional methodologies and forms of drawing and creating. Free-hand creations often comes from me wanting to raise awareness or start conversations on a particular concept or subject matter. My degree show space is all about raising awareness of the autism spectrum though colour, shapes, statements and visual language. Storytelling is an important element in the work I create because storytelling can create a sense of wonder and promote awareness across all spectrums and walks of life. Raising awareness of all disabilities, including the autism spectrum is important because it needs more positive thinking and shows how not all disabilities are visible to the eye.

My job as an illustrator will be to continue to produce artwork and book publications that will be readable and accessible on all platforms to a wide range of audiences with no set limits or labels necessary. Illustration is ageless and diverse, so my aim as an illustrator is to create work that can be viewed and celebrated by people of all age groups and backgrounds.

Sbectra lliw, adrodd stori weledol a dylunio patrymau yw hanfod fy ngwaith Darlunio. Darlunydd ydwyf sy’n benderfynol o ddefnyddio fy sgiliau creadigol a dychmygus i godi ymwybyddiaeth, annog dealltwriaeth a chael pobl i ddechrau siarad am faterion cysylltiedig ag anabledd a chydraddoldeb. Thema ganolog fy mhrosiect nodwedd a’m gwaith Darlunio yn gyffredinol yw hybu amrywiaeth trwy gyfryngau gweledol, methodoleg draddodiadol a ffurfiau lluniadu a chreu. Ffrwyth fy awydd i godi ymwybyddiaeth neu ddechrau sgyrsiau am gysyniad neu bwnc penodol yw fy nghreadigaethau llawrydd yn aml. Byrdwn fy sioe ar gyfer fy ngradd yw codi ymwybyddiaeth o’r sbectrwm awtistiaeth trwy liw, siapiau, datganiadau ac iaith weledol. Mae adrodd stori’n elfen bwysig o’r gwaith rwy’n ei greu oherwydd gall adrodd stori greu ymdeimlad o ryfeddod a hybu ymwybyddiaeth ar draws pob sbectrwm a chefndir. Mae codi ymwybyddiaeth o bob anabledd, gan gynnwys y sbectrwm awtistiaeth, yn bwysig gan fod angen meddwl yn fwy cadarnhaol amdanynt a dangos nad yw pob anabledd yn weledol.

Fy rôl fel darlunydd fydd parhau i lunio gwaith celf a chyhoeddiadau mewn llyfrau a fydd yn ddarllenadwy ac yn hygyrch ar bob llwyfan, i amrywiaeth eang o gynulleidfaoedd, heb na chyfyngiadau gosod na labeli’n angenrheidiol. Amrywiol yw Darlunio, a dioedran, felly fy nod fel darlunydd yw creu gwaith y gall pobl o bob oed a chefndir edrych arno a’i ddathlu.
