Wild Flowers is a collection where I explore the elegance and beauty of nature’s spontaneity. Inspired by florists, vintage colours and organic shapes, using my drawn flowers, I worked digitally towards creating gorgeous surface pattern designs.

I chose to work with florals because I wanted to put my own style into the theme, with painterly marks and by using vintage colours this gave florals a new refreshing take on delicacy and elegance. I wanted to create a collection where the designs could be envisioned on a variety of products giving my designs great flexibility, they work beautifully on scarfs, cushions and other gift wear.

My overall goal was to create a collection that showed gentle shapes and sophisticated patterns which would be a beautiful contribution to British flowers and their organic figures.

Mae ‘Blodau Gwyllt’ yn gasgliad lle y byddaf yn archwilio gosgeiddrwydd a harddwch digymhellrwydd natur. A minnau wedi fy ysbrydoli gan werthwyr blodau, lliwiau hen a siapiau organig, a gan ddefnyddio lluniau’r blodau roeddwn wedi’u tynnu, fe fues i’n gweithio’n ddigidol yn creu dyluniadau patrymau arwyneb hyfryd.

Dewisais weithio gyda blodau am fy mod am roi fy arddull fy hunan i’r thema, â marciau peintiwr a thrwy ddefnyddio lliwiau hen, fe roddodd hyn agwedd ffres newydd i’r blodau o ran ceinder a gosgeiddrwydd. Roeddwn am greu casgliad lle y gellid dychmygu’r dyluniadau ar amrywiaeth o gynhyrchion gan roi mwy o hyblygrwydd i’m dyluniadau; maen nhw’n gweithio’n wych ar sgarffiau, clustogau ac anrhegion meddal eraill.

Fy nod gyffredinol oedd creu casgliad a oedd yn dangos siapiau tyner a phatrymau soffistigedig a fyddai’n gyfraniad hyfryd i flodau Prydain a’u ffigyrau organig.
