BA (Hons) Product Design

Joshua Benjamin Coles

What drives me as product design is not only the form and function, but the successful user experience encounters. Being a successful designer is about covering all the stages but for me, the most important and rewarding is prototyping and that’s where my strengths lie. It allows you to tackle the bare bones of the problem and receive instant feedback. Witnessing all your creations being born from a small idea and then receiving positive feedback from a user, gives me a sense of pride and fulfilment like no other. Its a very power thing being a Product Design and gives you an opportunity to change a lot of people’s lives for the better.

Yr hyn sy’n fy ngyrru fel dylunydd cynhyrchion yw profiad llwyddiannus y defnyddiwr yn ogystal â’r ffurf a’r swyddogaeth. Mae bod yn ddylunydd llwyddiannus yn ymwneud â chwmpasu pob un o’r camau ond, i mi, y pwysicaf a’r un mwyaf gwerthfawr yw prototeipio, a dyna yw fy nghryfder. Mae’n eich galluogi i ymgodymu â gwraidd y broblem a chael adborth yn syth. Bydd bod yn dyst i enedigaeth pob un o’ch creadigaethau, o gael syniad bach hyd at gael adborth cadarnhaol oddi wrth ddefnyddiwr, yn rhoi ymdeimlad o falchder a chyflawniad sydd heb ei debyg. Mae bod yn Ddylunydd Cynhyrchion yn ymwneud â grym ac mae’n rhoi cyfle i chi newid bywydau llawer o bobl er gwell.
